Rides to Medical Appointments

Transportation to medical appointments can be a challenge for many Sonoma Valley residents. Assistance is available in several ways:

  • If you are able to take the bus or use Sonoma County Paratransit, you can request tickets from FISH. 
     
  • If you are not able to use public transportation, you can request a ride to your medical appointment with a FISH volunteer driver.  Call us at 707-996-0111 to schedule your ride at least one week before your appointment. Rides are provided for Sonoma Valley residents to both local and out-of-town medical appointments.  Rides to San Francisco and other distant out-of-town locations can be hard to fill and may not always be available.
     
  • If you are able to drive to your medical appointments but have trouble affording gasoline, you can apply for gasoline assistance from FISH.

For seniors who need a ride for physical therapy appointments, or to do shopping, banking, or other local errands, Vintage House provides a myRide service. Phone Vintage House at 707-996-0311.
