Items for the Clothing Closet

We Welcome Your Donations

Listed below are the kinds of donations that we welcome at the Clothing Closet, and the kinds of items we are unable to accept. FISH does not have cleaning facilities, so we ask that you please be sure that your donated items are clean.

Our volunteers are on site at FISH Central to accept your donations on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m.  – 12:00 noon, and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Please do not drop off donations at other times.  Thank you!  

FISH accepts:
  • Clothing - clean, new or gently used clothes in all sizes, from baby to adult
  • Accessories - purses, shoes and boots, belts (no hats please)
  • Linens and household items - blankets, sheets, bedspreads, comforters, new pillows, decorative pillows, bath and hand towels, washcloths, tablecloths, napkins, sleeping bags, pictures, lamps
  • Small kitchen items – dishware, silverware, pots and pans, dish towels, pot holders, mixing bowls, canisters, glasses and mugs, kitchen utensils, and small kitchen appliances such as toasters and toaster ovens, countertop microwaves, mixers, blenders, coffee pots (in working order, and with directions if possible)
  • Children's items - books, toys and games in good condition
  • Holiday decorations – Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.
Items we cannot accept include:
  • Electronics such as televisions, monitors, computers, printers
  • Furniture
  • Mattresses or mattress pads/covers
  • Baby car seats, baby carriers, cribs of any size, changing tables, baby bottles, baby baths
  • Opened containers of personal care products
  • Cosmetics, medications, vitamins
